1988 Ford LTD Crown Victoria

The owner came along and drove away before I could get all the pictures I would have liked.
As with many cars I choose to photograph, I have ambivalent feelings about this car. It seems like Ford gave up making it look interesting or innovative, and we end up with something more bland than the previous version.

1985 Ford LTD LX

I had not realized that the car you see was kind of special for technical reasons until I looked it up. The blacked out grille and faded red stripe hidden in the side strip should have tipped me off. I hope it is just awaiting restoration under it's guardian motion sensor light.

What with constrained space and steel barrel, I could not get a proper profile, or a shot of the "LTD LX" badge on the trunk lid.

1969 Ford LTD XL

Almost don't know where to begin. First off, this is fine example of wide, long and macho, with those continuous lines from front to back and flying wings around the rear window. Pictures can't really convey the awesome presence of this old beast. Next that colour -- it's radioactive in this dull grey light. Those over the top wheels and tires. Too much!

Overall, it's grand, regal, absurd, and delightful.
